I worked with Alex and Sean during my COMLEX Level 1 retake. At that point, I had already retaken the exam twice without success and was preparing for my last allowed attempt. Working with them completely changed my life.
I always knew I was missing something while studying. It wasn't necessarily the content. I was never a strong test taker, and they helped me figure out the skills and strategies that I was lacking. They're both incredibly knowledgeable and excellent teachers. They also have a deep understanding of the actual board exam, what concepts tend to be tested, and how questions are written.
While all of those things were incredibly valuable, what stood out most to me was their empathy and how much they genuinely care about their students. I was an emotional mess during that period of my life. Failing multiple times had completely destroyed my confidence, and I was carrying a lot of fear going into my final attempt. They were always patient, encouraging, and supportive. They helped me rebuild confidence in myself and my abilities at a time when I really needed it.
After passing COMLEX Level 1, I continued working with Alex throughout my clinical rotations. We still meet several times a month to prepare for COMAT exams and continue strengthening my test-taking skills. She has an amazing ability to take complex concepts and make them easy to understand. More importantly, she has taught me how to approach questions strategically and navigate difficult exams regardless of the subject matter.
Alex genuinely cares about her students, and it shows in every session. She has played a huge role in my success over the past year, and I can honestly say I would not be where I am today without her help. She's an amazing tutor, and I have no doubt she's going to make an amazing physician.

I truly do not know where to begin when describing how crucial Sean and Chris have been throughout my board preparation journey. I worked with them while preparing for both COMLEX Level 1 and USMLE Step 1, and from the very beginning, I knew this was a service unlike anything else available.

Chris was equally instrumental in my success, and I truly could not have done it without him. I worked with him on a weekly basis, and his ability to simplify complex pathophysiology and break down difficult questions was second to none. He helped me master topics that I had struggled with for years, dating back to my master’s physiology courses. For example, concepts such as pulmonary airflow, which had always been challenging for me, became clear within a single session. Within 30 minutes, I felt confident tackling even third- and fourth-order questions on the topic. Chris was able to do this for not only pulmonary physiology but any topic that I struggled with, his detailed knowledge of all the high yield content was a cornerstone in my preparation.
Beyond his extensive knowledge, Chris created an environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and working through difficult concepts. Every session felt less like a tutoring appointment and more like a conversation with a trusted friend I had known for years. That level of support motivated me to push myself further and remain committed to achieving my weekly goals.
Overall, I cannot recommend Sean and Chris highly enough. They were there for me throughout the entire process and were always just a text message away. When I first started working with Sean, I was 6 weeks out from Step 1 and pretty unsure if I was on track to passing. From the very first meeting with Sean, I felt right away that he had a well-honed philosophy for test preparation and was ready to help me develop a plan to get ready. Literally the first time we spoke, my confidence began to grow because he not only had a well-thought out approach to helping me prepare but he also understood the health challenges I was dealing with and genuinely cared about how he could best help me navigate those in preparing for Step 1. Every time I worked with Sean, he not only was teaching me great test-taking skills and doing helpful content review for problem areas, but he was building up my confidence that I could not only pass the exam, but do well on it. Sean makes you feel like you've got a great partner behind you the whole time and I saw fairly quickly great improvements in my practice exam scores. By the time I took the exam, I felt so much more confident in my abilities and even when I had last minute test-anxiety, Sean was there to reassure me that the work we had done would pay off and in the end, he was exactly right and I scored well on Step 1. I took Comlex Lvl3 three times and failed. I was a PGY-2 and was unable to secure a contract for my 3rd year as a resident. To make things worse, I had a 3 year gap between medical school and securing a residency. To put things into perspective, my last completed board exam was back in 2019, pre-COVID, making it a 5 year test taking gap between the 2 exams. Sean was recommended to me by a fellow resident at my hospital, where he found a lot of success with him. I was hoping he could fix some of the issues that I had. We had 2 months to prep for Lvl 3 for my 4th time. We had one session per week. We had more sessions as the test date closed in.
I was quite weak in statistics so I had to confer with Alex as well, which was completely worth it. It was a quick 2 hour sessions that covered the majority of stats questions.
Through Sean, I was able to found out that my problem wasn’t really test taking anxiety or knowledge gaps(been studying for this exam for almost a year), I was missing a systemic approach to answering these questions and ultimately conquering the exam. Sean was able to rectify the issues and help me build the confidence to ultimately pass the exam.
My advice to other people who would inquire his services: you should texting him 24/7 about anything and everything.

Kicking myself for not hiring Sean sooner!
Sean helped me prepare for COMLEX Level 3. I struggled with Level 1 and 2, had to retake both of them. My difficulties continued with Level 3 which I failed twice. We worked through question bank questions while on Zoom to analyze and critique my test taking skills which, along with Sean's frequent motivating/encouraging comments, drastically increased my confidence. Yes, Sean helped address knowledge gaps, but I honestly think my success more so resulted from his identifying and highlighting my strengths than identifying weaknesses. Sean was always available via text/email despite his own busy schedule. He stayed on top of me to monitor my progress without being overbearing in the slightest. At one point, I asked Sean why he does this. Why tutor when you have your own medical career progressing with your own stressors and time constraints? He replied honestly with an answer I ultimately found very true. He truly enjoys teaching and plans to make it a significant part of his career moving forward with hopes of pursuing medical teaching positions with ivy-league institutions. If you are on the fence or considering hiring a tutor AT ALL, please do yourself a favor and invest in your future by hiring a tutor like Sean. From my own experience, once you're on the other side with a passing score and ALL the stress is GONE, you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
